Practical Advertising

I found myself in Delaware after I finished studying at The School of Visual Arts.  I started picking up work with small businesses in the area.  What I discovered is that many businesses had practical needs: logos, tag lines, business cards, websites, and other media.  I called this "practical advertising" since these were tools that helped a business get their brand out there to market themselves.  During this time, I was the writer, designer, and account manager all rolled into one.  The biggest thing I learned is that every business wants to be successful and look good in the market.  It's my job to help them do that.
